About the role

The Field Marketing Specialist (FMS) supports the Field Marketing Manager (FMM) in making Red Bull #1 in their region. The FMS acts as the face of Red Bull in their local market, aligning with global and national strategies and priorities. Responsibilities include gathering local insights, building networks within specific communities and playgrounds, and creating and implementing innovative marketing initiatives across the four pillars of the marketing mix: Consumer Collecting, Sports, Culture, and Communications. The FMS manages a local team of Student Marketeers, bringing the World of Red Bull to life on campus and in market to reach new consumers.

Responsibilities

Consumer Collecting Program Management

  • Set clear goals with the Consumer Collecting Manager (CCM) and FMM to drive trial and engage new users on and off campus.
  • Communicate expectations and guidelines for Student Marketeers to plan and deliver trial-driving initiatives during key moments and consumption occasions.
  • Ensure a strong sales support program to drive distribution, excite trade partners, and improve in-store visibility around universities.
  • Create exciting and relevant university initiatives that build brand affinity among students.
  • Use program tools and reporting features to track performance, identify opportunities, and reach new consumers.
  • Coach and empower team members to generate fresh mission ideas for growing the user base.
  • Manage sampling requests internally and externally, aligning them with wider priorities.
  • Drive positive trial interactions with consumers, overcoming barriers and negative perceptions.

People Management

  • Source and hire Student Marketeers with strong brand fit, skills, and attitude toward business priorities.
  • Implement and uphold national recruitment, onboarding, and training modules for consistency.
  • Train and lead Student Marketeers using an empowerment approach, encouraging ownership of targets and providing development opportunities for top performers.
  • Lead a strong Team Leader program.

Premium Appeal of Local Pride

  • Create and support key events, scenes, and marketing opportunities aligned with Red Bull brand values and local relevance, focusing on participation.
  • Support a balanced program involving 3rd-party event properties in relevant sport and culture scenes on and off campus.
  • Identify local opinion leaders in Red Bull scenes and collaborate with the FMM to integrate them into the World of Red Bull.
  • Implement national and global events/projects with excellence.
  • Incorporate Indirect Sampling initiatives to broaden reach in hard-to-access occasions and surprise consumers.
  • Activate national pillars, events, and global brand projects around universities, aligning with core program objectives.

Marketing Innovation

  • Work closely with the FMM to develop, own, and execute locally relevant ideas that complement global and national initiatives.
  • Involve the Consumer Collecting team in idea generation, leveraging their university lifestyle to identify trends early.
  • Lead creative processes with Student Marketeers to generate new ideas for building loyalty within the student audience (e.g., focus groups).
  • Understand the consumer landscape and approach diverse consumers through direct and indirect sampling in relevant ways.

Organizational Capabilities and Enabling Structure

  • Act as a role model, displaying Red Bull values with a motivating and inspiring tone of voice.
  • Ensure the program is set up in the right areas to reach target groups, remaining flexible with resources.
  • Drive program efficiencies using tools to ensure success.
  • Support the local logistics system to maintain the right tools, warehousing, and management for premium appearance and tool management.
  • Collaborate with the national operations team to manage product stock with discipline.
  • Maintain program tools, mini fleet, and other branded items in a premium manner.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of marketing experience.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing people.
  • Strategic thinker who takes initiative and ownership to "make things happen."
  • Excellent communication and networking skills; ability to open doors and excite people about ideas.
  • Strong "can-do" attitude with a drive for perfection and attention to detail.
  • Leadership, motivation, and ability to cultivate a team environment.
  • Analytical, planning, budgetary, and project management competencies.
  • Creative mind with a track record of implementing new ideas and assessing results.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting and training abilities.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 plus cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
