About the Role

The Mobile Technician performs annual preventive maintenance within a designated geographic territory, including hands-on repair and maintenance work on various building systems to meet Jones Lang LaSalle standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair service on HVAC, water chillers, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems to maintain peak operational condition.
  • Identify energy savings opportunities, including system and operational changes to reduce energy consumption.
  • Conduct routine building maintenance, plumbing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Plan and execute work assignments independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assist as a helper in other trades and general maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Interact daily with teams in person, by phone, and via email.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial HVAC service and repairs or 5 years of military experience involving HVAC systems.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Universal CFC certification required.
  • Hands-on skills in commercial HVAC systems (pumps, motors, air handlers, automation/controls, and electrical systems) using industry-standard tools and adhering to codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications, and handheld electronic devices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with team members, contractors, building occupants, and clients.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, use hands, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environments include outdoors, mechanical/equipment rooms, extreme weather, high places, fumes, airborne particles, wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high voltage, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme cold/heat, and loud noise.
