About the Role
Coordinate, monitor, and perform specialized technical processes related to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to plan and schedule Complete Knock Down (CKD) parts for production from Korea in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies to meet production demands.
- Review production schedules to determine materials requirements and priorities.
- Gather part information and calculate required amounts of materials for daily, weekly, and monthly needs; forecast usage rates of special parts using historical data; prepare purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors and production teams to coordinate activities, resolve complaints, or eliminate delays; expedite delivery of shortage parts.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain effective flow of products and reduce inventory; make recommendations and adjustments.
- Coordinate and monitor engineering changes to prevent part obsolescence or downtime.
- Attend meetings with various departments to communicate status and issues.
- Monitor production schedules for interruptions (e.g., design changes, labor/material shortages) and collaborate with management, production, and suppliers.
- Compile production data (e.g., production rates, materials inventories, quality control measures) to prepare status reports, including weekly/monthly results.
- Record production data, including volume produced, raw material consumption, and quality control measures.
- Maintain accurate material data, transactions, and scrap numbers in the SAP system.
- Provide bilingual translations (Korean and English) for written and verbal communications.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
- Handle hazardous wastes, including identifying, inspecting, packaging, labeling, and moving waste in compliance with RCRA regulations (training provided if assigned).
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired.
- 0–10 years of related experience desired.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Bilingual: fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English and Korean.
Additional Information
- Occasional domestic or foreign travel may be required.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
- May require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
