Primary Purpose
To integrate technology into the curriculum in a way that develops skills, increases understanding, and explores applications so that students and staff utilize instructional technology to increase performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned (preferred)
- Master's degree, with emphasis in instructional technology (preferred)
- Minimum of two years teaching experience (preferred)
- School district experience (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of trends and issues in technology, effective teaching strategies, curriculum reform, and other research that impacts instructional technology
- Strong adult training skills
- Advanced knowledge of curriculum development
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Expertise in Windows platforms in various technologies
- Exhibits leadership skills
Working Conditions
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (15-45 pounds)
- Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
