Specialist, Driver Payroll

About the role

The Driver Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payment of drivers. They are responsible for compiling and recording driver-related data, computing pay, and submitting it for approval.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and records driver case, stops, miles as well as time spent driving.
• Computes pay due to drivers, vacation eligibility, holiday pay, etc.
• SUBMIT driver pay for approval prior to processing.
• Works with supervisors to correct driver pay before submission.
• Researches missing data related to cases, stops, and miles as well as hours worked.
• Calculates overtime, and vacation or holiday eligibility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Maintain mathematical skills.
• Show attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Show strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Have 2 or more years' experience in a payroll role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.
• The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
