Specialist, Corporate Security Screening Officer

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor security screening systems (e.g., X-ray, metal detectors, visual inspections) for individuals and incoming items.
• Enforce company no-weapons policy with professionalism and consistency.
• Respond rapidly and effectively to incidents including fires, alarms, severe weather, threats, disturbances, and other emergency situations.
• Support building evacuations, including coordination with Executive Protection when required.
• Maintain constant communication via two-way radio.
• Identify, assess, and report suspicious or hazardous activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain daily activity logs.
• Build effective working relationships with security teams, employees, visitors, law enforcement, and the public.
• Represent Corporate Security with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
• Support broader security operations and special assignments as directed.

Qualifications

• Required Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED and 5 years relevant work experience, or Associate's Degree and 4 years relevant work experience, or Bachelor's Degree and 2 years relevant work experience.
• Relevant Work Experience: Valid and current NYS Pistol Permit, required. Valid and current NYS Armed Guard License, required. Prior experience in law enforcement or the military, preferred.
• Basic Life Support, CPR, and First Aid certifications, preferred. Experience with electronic weapons detection equipment, preferred.
