About the role

The Corporate Security Specialist (HQ) is tasked with protecting people and property at the BetMGM Corporate Office in Jersey City, New Jersey, as well as helping safeguard our people, property, and teams around the world through the company’s Emergency Response Center. This role touches areas of safety, security, surveillance, compliance, audit, inventory control, facilities and maintenance, as well as emergency response.

Responsibilities

  • Building Security, including but not limited to manning one or more secured entry points, checking visitors in and out, checking ID, enforcing company banned persons list, maintaining access control system, maintaining key control system, and maintaining CCTV system.
  • Delivers customer service to all those in the Corporate Offices.
  • Patrol of the facility looking out for, reporting on, and correcting security and safety issues.
  • Routine inspections of and reporting on company equipment.
  • Liaising with Harborside Plaza building security team and other entities inside and outside of the company, including emergency services, law enforcement, and others, to work toward common security solutions.
  • Routine checks, reporting, scheduling, and following up on maintenance and cleanliness items within company offices.
  • Aid in the receiving of services and merchandise to assure goods have been delivered and services have been rendered; assists with the payments process by entering receipts, transactions, and other data to assure proper payments for security, safety, surveillance, emergency, facilities, and other related items, or any item that falls under the corporate office or the Director of Security and Surveillance, as directed.
  • Use of incident reporting, access control, CCTV, and key access systems to assure safety of offices and persons and to prevent unauthorized use or entry into restricted areas or restricted assets.
  • In cases of emergency at Corporate Offices, acts as lead incident commander to direct emergency response, evacuation, and other emergency procedures.
  • Acts as reporter/agent for items that reach the company Emergency Response Center. This includes, but is not limited to: emergencies, threats, harassment, suspicious or illegal conduct, loss of life, interruptions of business, risk, fraud, theft, property damage, or other undesirable activity or hazardous events that affects, could affect, or poses a risk to company employees, facilities, assets, customers, vendors, or business partners.
  • Documents and reports on same.
  • Assists with the shipping and receiving of items and material.
  • Assists with the inventory control of company assets held onsite.
  • Performs audits of safety, security, surveillance, visitor, identification, CCTV, facilities, maintenance, cleanliness, visitor, access, key, inventory, emergency, and other related matters as directed.
  • Investigates and reports on same.
  • Maintains logs related to safety, security, surveillance, visitor, identification, CCTV, facilities, maintenance, cleanliness, visitor, access, key, inventory, emergency, and other related matters as directed.
  • Investigates and reports on same.
  • Assists with special events, catering, VIP visitors, and other hospitality functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be or become licensed by the proper Gaming entities as a condition of hire and continued employment.
  • 1+ years in Security, Surveillance, Safety, Loss Prevention, Emergency Services, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft.
  • Knowledge of the Gaming Industry a plus.

Compensation

The hourly salary range for this position is $26.54 to $34.83. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification. In addition, candidates must comply with and support BetMGM's responsible gambling policies, procedures, and initiatives.
