Security Officer - Screening Specialist

As a Security Officer - Screening Specialist in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and media location, where you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and team members, and support a professional, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal items entering designated areas in accordance with location procedures and escalation guidelines.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and report suspicious, unauthorized, and/or prohibited activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Support security-related operations for a fast-paced technology, media, and/or telecommunications location by documenting incidents, maintaining logs, and communicating relevant information to site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized access.

Requirements

• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
