Security Officer Screening Specialist

About the role

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Gluckstadt, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. This role includes providing customer service, responding to incidents, conducting screenings, and monitoring entry points.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with guests and staff, and respond to security-related concerns with care and integrity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and conduct screening activities for people, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing and reporting unusual conditions or suspicious activity.

Requirements

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
