About the Role
Under limited supervision, this position collects, reviews, and assesses applications, transcripts, and related documents for compliance with eligibility for admission. Employees manage, expedite, and maintain files and records, ensuring accurate progression throughout the admission process. The role involves resolving application processing problems, coordinating policy-related and procedural issue resolutions, processing Petition for Residency documents, and providing quality customer service to students.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, verifies, and assesses admissions applications and supporting documents in accordance with established guidelines to follow up on missing or deficient information (15%).
- Reviews applications and transcripts for current eligibility; initiates, codes, reviews, and processes applications; verifies residency classification (25%).
- Creates and maintains manual and computerized records; establishes and maintains logs, filing, and record-keeping systems to ensure completeness, accuracy, and up-to-date status (5%).
- Performs data entry, maintains computer databases, and conducts analysis and calculations for recurring internal reports (5%).
- Responds to inquiries and investigates/resolves problems related to department transactions; provides advice and guidance on admissions policies, procedures, and documents via telephone and in person (10%).
- Serves as a liaison with other departments and operating units to resolve day-to-day administrative and operational problems (5%).
- Composes, prepares, or ensures timely responses to written requests; prepares documents and routine correspondence; processes petitions for refund for Central and WHC campuses (15%).
- Provides administrative support, including expediting and coordinating incoming and outgoing documentation related to admissions policy and procedural issues (10%).
- Assists with the supervision of student workers, including training (5%).
- Performs related duties as assigned (5%).
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Associate's Degree required. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Minimum Experience/Training: Three to five years of relevant experience within the field or a closely related field.
Skills
- Strong knowledge, understanding, and skills in the area of responsibility, including concepts and principles of related functions.
- Ability to manage own work to job and performance standards.
- Ability to participate as an active team member and lead a group of employees.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office Products and specialized computer systems.
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with employees and students.

Pay
Salary range: $36,800 - $43,240 (commensurate with education and experience).
Schedule
- Full-time, regular position.
- Work Shift: Varies.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, weekends, varies.
- Hours Per Week: 40.
