Responsibilities
- Collaborate With a Team Of Structural Engineers And Interface With Engineers From Other Disciplines
- Work With a Structural Engineering Team On Engineering Projects For New Nuclear Facilities And Upgrades And Modifications To Nuclear Power Plants And Other Safety-related Structures
- Prepare Design Calculations, Develop Specifications, And Support Designers With Drawing Development
- Guide Others In The Development Of Engineering Deliverables
- Perform Structural Analysis Of Safety-related Structures Under Various Loading Conditions, Such Seismic Loading, Impactive/Impulsive Loading
- Travel To Client And Vendor Offices For Design Reviews And To Plant Site Locations For Construction Coordination And Field Verification Of Designs
Qualifications
- MS Degree In Civil Engineering With An Emphasis In Structural Engineering From An ABET-accredited Program
- Three Or More Years Of Experience Working As A Member Of A Project Team In The Design And Analysis Of Structures
- Proficiency With Structural Analysis Software Such As SAP2000, STRUDL, SASSI, ANSYS, Or LS-DYNA
- Proficiency With Analysis And Design Codes And Standards Such As ASCE 4, ASCE 43, ASCE 7, AISC, And ACI
- Good Written And Verbal Communication Skills

- Willingness Or Ability To Solve Problems Using Modern Tools
- Use Of Automation And AI To Improve Workflows, Reduce Rework, And Deliver Cost-effective Designs
- Programming Or Scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Advanced Excel) To Automate Calculations, Design Checks, Reporting, Or Data Transformation
