Special Security Technician - Mid with Security Clearance
Description
This position is contingent upon award of contract. We are seeking an experienced Mid-level Special Security Technician (SST) to support Air Combat Command (ACC) security programs, including Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Access Programs (SAP), and collateral security activities. The SST plays a critical role in the protection of classified information, facilities, systems, and personnel by supporting Special Security Office (SSO) and program security functions.
Responsibilities
- Support Special Security Office (SSO) and program security operations
- Aid in the administration and control of classified documents, materials, and media
- Maintain accountability records, logs, and databases for classified holdings
- Support personnel security activities, including access control, visit requests, and indoctrinations
- Aid in security briefings, debriefings, and nondisclosure documentation
- Support secure facility operations, including controlled access areas (SCIFs)
- Ensure compliance with DoD, IC, and program-specific security directives and procedures
- Collaborate with government security managers and stakeholders as required
- Identify and report security incidents, discrepancies, or vulnerabilities
- Safeguard classified information and maintain proper handling, storage, and destruction procedures
Required Experience
- Understanding of DoD and Intelligence Community security policies and procedures
- Experience supporting classified programs, facilities, or security offices
- Knowledge of controlled access environments (e.g., SCIF operations)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Proficiency with standard office tools and security-related databases
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
