About the role
This position is contingent upon award of contract. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Special Security Technician (SST) to support Air Combat Command (ACC) security programs, including Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Access Programs (SAP), and collateral security activities.
Responsibilities
- Support Special Security Office (SSO) and program security operations
- Aid in the administration and control of classified documents, materials, and media
- Maintain accountability records, logs, and databases for classified holdings
- Support personnel security activities, including access control, visit requests, and indoctrinations
- Aid in security briefings, debriefings, and nondisclosure documentation
- Support secure facility operations, including controlled access areas (SCIFs)
- Ensure compliance with DoD, IC, and program-specific security directives and procedures
- Collaborate with government security managers and stakeholders as required
- Identify and report security incidents, discrepancies, or vulnerabilities
- Safeguard classified information and maintain proper handling, storage, and destruction procedures
- Understand DoD and Intelligence Community security policies and procedures
- Have experience supporting classified programs, facilities, or security offices
- Have knowledge of controlled access environments (e.g., SCIF operations)
- Show strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Be able to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Be proficient with standard office tools and security-related databases
- Be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Have prior experience supporting ACC or MAJCOM-level security programs
- Have experience with SAP programs and CAP administration
- Have completed Air Force or DoD security training programs (e.g., SSO courses)
Qualifications
- Master’s degree OR a bachelor’s degree plus 5 additional years of senior-level experience (for a total of 15 years’ experience); Minimum of 10 years of experience in security administration, SCI/SAP programs, or related DoD/IC security roles, with recent experience within the last 2 years.
