Special Projects Technician

About the Role

Join the 7-Eleven team as a Special Projects Technician I and help keep our stores running smoothly. In this dynamic role, you’ll work on point-of-sale upgrades, fuel dispenser upgrades, specialized projects, and support markets with service calls during staffing shortages. Your expertise will ensure our iconic convenience brand continues to deliver for customers every day.

Responsibilities

• Complete point-of-sale upgrades and installations, fuel dispenser upgrades, and other specialized projects.
• Serve on a strike team to support markets with service calls during In-House Maintenance technician staffing shortages.
• Manage and fulfill orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
• Maintain parts inventory and complete daily reports to support operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties such as training technicians, prioritizing assigned work orders, and conducting basic structural maintenance.

Requirements

• Ability to travel 50% of the time or greater with flexible hours defined by the project.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in general repairs and maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s License (with real ID or equivalent for air travel).

Skills

• Leadership and peer-to-peer technical support.
• Effective communication and time management.
• Ability to handle stretch assignments and take ownership of facility locations.
