About the role
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs).
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational programs in both general and special education settings.
- Support the licensed teacher in creating and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
Requirements
Essential qualifications include:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of a state-approved paraprofessional training program.
- Passing scores on the ESSA proficiency tests in reading, writing, and math.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
