As the Special Education Compliance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in implementing all policies and procedures related to Special Education programs. You will maintain relationships with state, regional, and district-level special education leaders and ensure the school remains compliant with all deadlines. This position ensures all special education reporting and compliance requirements are met across partner school districts.

This is a full-time remote position requiring the ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week. You must maintain a professional home office without distraction during work hours, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of all policies and procedures related to Special Education programs.
  • Create and maintain relationships with state, regional, and district-level special education leaders.
  • Develop contacts with special education-related service providers.
  • Request special education records from students’ resident school districts and check for compliance and currency.
  • Assist with all special education reporting (school, local, state, and federal).
  • Work with the Special Education Director, teachers, and Head of School on compliance-related issues.
  • Track and inform teachers of compliance dates for Individual Educational Plans (IEP).
  • Work directly with parents and students (both regular and special education) where necessary.
  • Contact students and families for entry ARD/IEP meetings, schedule meetings, and distribute IEPs and evaluations to teachers.
  • Manage class loads and teacher assignments.
  • Coordinate and organize student special education records for partner school districts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience using databases; web proficiency.
  • Ability to clear a required background check.

Qualifications

Certificates and Licenses: Louisiana state Department of Education Special Education Teacher Certification preferred.

  • Diagnostician Certification preferred.
  • Experience teaching in both online and brick-and-mortar environments.

Pay

Stride, Inc. considers education, experience, qualifications, and work location when determining salary. The anticipated salary range for this position is $19.23 - $25.00/hour. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Compensation is not guaranteed and may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
