About the role

The Special Procedures Technologist 2 position is located at The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center within UMHC-SCCC. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient ID and corroborates clinical history.
• Aids in patient interviews and documentation.
• Prepares patients for procedures and maintains sterile techniques.
• Assists radiologists during procedures and monitors patient care.
• Applies radiation protection principles and positions patients for exams.
• Provides patient education and initiates life support measures.
• Maintains knowledge of patient monitoring devices.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
• BLS certification from The American Heart Association.
• ARRT certification.
