About the Role

Special Procedures Tech in the Cath Lab, responsible for performing complex radiologic procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries. Acts as an assistant to physicians during invasive procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiology exams, ensuring radiation safety and image quality.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, administers contrast, and positions patients appropriately.
• Enters and monitors patient data, maintains equipment quality, and assists with accreditation processes.
• Identifies and reports accidents, malfunctions, or complaints; participates in emergency call duties.
• Ensures safe care for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to policies, standards, and budget constraints.
• Supports professional growth through continuing education, mentoring, and serving as a resource to colleagues.
• Provides compassionate, personalized patient care, exemplifying service standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology school.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) and BLS/ACLS certification.
• Ability to lift/maneuver patients and work collaboratively with team members.
