Special Procedures Tech, Cath Lab

About the Role

A Special Procedures Tech in the Cath Lab performs complex radiologic procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries and acts as an assistant to physicians during invasive radiological interventions.

Responsibilities

• Perform special and invasive radiology procedures while ensuring radiation safety and image quality.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, administer contrast, and position patients appropriately.
• Monitor and enter patient data, perform equipment quality assurance, and assist with accreditation processes.
• Report accidents and malfunctions, and participate in emergency calls.
• Uphold safety standards, policies, and procedures to ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Support professional growth through ongoing education, mentoring, and serving as a resource for less experienced staff.
• Provide compassionate, personalized patient experiences aligned with service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board and ARRT-R certification.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
• Ability to lift and maneuver patients.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment.
