Special Procedure Technologist (Radiologic Technologist), Cardiac Catheter Lab

About the Role

The Special Procedures Technologist prepares patients, operates diagnostic and interventional equipment, and assists physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures within the Cardiac Catheter Lab.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of procedure protocols
• Operate fluoroscopy equipment
• Calibrate and maintain devices
• Assist with angiographic and interventional procedures
• Ensure image quality
• Work collaboratively with medical teams

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology or CVT program
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Handle multiple tasks and operate under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• RCIS certification
• NJ CXT certification
• ARRT registry
• EKG certification
