Special Needs Teacher

About the role

Crystal Springs Inc., a leading residential facility for individuals with varying disabilities, is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teacher to join our dynamic team full-time in Assonet, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate educational programs covering academics, fine and gross motor skills, language development, behavioral and social skills, and essential activities of daily living.
  • Create and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student in your class.
  • Supervise and evaluate classroom teaching assistants, teacher aides, and assigned float teacher aides.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A Massachusetts Special Needs teaching license or a license-eligible waiver from DESE is desired, as is a Severe Special Needs license.

Qualifications

  • Experience in special education is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary

$58,016 - $72,096 per year

Schedule

Typically Monday - Friday. Enjoy weekends off! We also provide a week of time off in April, July, and December.

Pay

Competitive wage. New teachers are eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000.
