Special Investigations Field - Investigator I

About the role

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Special Investigations Unit is seeking a Special Investigator to conduct investigations throughout Arizona. This territory also includes portions of Nevada, a growing market where Cincinnati Insurance conducts business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of questionable insurance claims
• Prepare referrals to appropriate enforcement agencies when supported by the evidence
• Interact with law enforcement, public investigative agencies, and state governmental agencies
• Provide courtroom testimony on the local, state, or Federal level
• Manage numerous files simultaneously, set priorities, and stay organized
• Write thorough and detailed reports
• Conduct interviews
• Deliver training through public speaking

Relocation and overnight travel may be necessary.

Requirements

• 5 years or more of investigative experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of civil and criminal law
• Ability to self-start and work in a non-office setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience and skills in interviewing
• Knowledge of public speaking for training purposes

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $88,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
