About the role
This position supports the Special Events and Guest Services department, facilitating well-managed events that enrich the college-going experience, build campus pride, and engage the CSUSB community.
Responsibilities
- Assist with set ups and tear downs in the Coussoulis Arena and campus wide.
- Building stages
- Setting up tables, chairs
- Pipe and drape
- Other equipment as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director or Lead.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work
- Follow oral instructions
- Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
- Communicate effectively with all levels
- Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Special Qualifications
- Admission or registration as a CSU student.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA or greater per semester and cumulative.
- Enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate).
- Eligible to work in the United States.

- Basic experience in events set ups, or technical production is preferred, but will train
- Must be dependable, responsible and able to work independently or with a crew
Special Conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour. The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
Position Information
- Work status: Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal
- Academic year available hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
- Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm)
