Responsibilities
- Supporting students academically, behaviorally, socially, and emotionally throughout the school day
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior plans, and instructional strategies under the direction of special education staff
- Aiding students with communication, regulation, transitions, and daily routines
- Helping maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
- Participating as an active member of a strong, team-oriented program
Qualifications
- Appropriate State of Maine DOE Certification and CHRC authorization
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to implement behavior plans based on ABA principles
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
