Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom serving up to 15 students, supported by two paraprofessionals.
• Use individualized teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Develop and implement instructional plans that promote students' academic, social, and behavioral growth in a structured learning environment.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, educators, and families to support student progress and foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture.
• Monitor student performance, maintain required documentation, and adapt instruction to meet individual educational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained or elementary special education setting preferred.

Pay

Competitive pay: $45.20 – $46.10 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.

Schedule

Local contract position for 41 weeks, 40 hours per week (8‑hour shifts).
