About the role

This position is available at FAIRMOUNT SCHOOL for Grades 4-5.

Responsibilities

• Complete diagnostic testing
• Develop and implement individual educational plans
• Develop and implement behavioral plans
• Work collaboratively as part of a team
• Implement Safety-Care intervention strategies
• Develop and implement behavior plans
• Collaboratively problem solve
• Support students in learning the skills they need to be successful learners
• Use data-driven approaches to track learning progress and growth

Requirements

• Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with children with disabilities
• Background in Reading and Math (preferred)
• Experience with special education law and forms
• Ability to identify barriers to learning and teach skills in academic, social, executive function, and emotional regulation areas
• Willingness to use whole child, evidenced-based approaches

• $47,549 - $108,355 annually, depending on education level and experience
