Position Summary

The Special Education Teacher / Academic Case Manager will provide individualized instruction, manage student IEPs, monitor academic progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide special education services and academic support
  • Create engaging, project-based learning opportunities
  • Monitor student progress and provide quarterly updates
  • Facilitate classroom instruction and manage student behavior supports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain required documentation
  • Collaborate with academic, clinical, and residential teams
  • Supervise and support teaching assistants
  • Assist with curriculum development and school programming

Qualifications

  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • New Hampshire Special Education Teaching Certification or enrollment in an approved certification program
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Prior teaching experience in middle school and/or high school preferred
  • Experience working with students who have social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges
  • NH DOE Special Education certification
  • Two or more years of teaching experience
