About the role
It is a full-time position at Intermediate School (3-5).
Responsibilities
- Teach students with special needs in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to provide a comprehensive educational experience.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid New York State certification in Special Education (9010).
- Experience working with At Risk Youth.
- Google Apps for Education proficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for teaching and supporting students with special needs.
