About the role

The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) is seeking a Student Services Midvale Elementary Teacher. The position is Exempt and employs a 192-day contract. The annual salary minimum is $52,154, based on the 25-26 TE Salary Schedule. Responsibilities

  • Identify common learning targets using standards (CCSS, SELS, Language)
  • Develop daily and weekly plans to support student growth
  • Create common year-long/course plans with essential questions and resources
  • Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects
  • Provide daily opportunities for students to describe their reasoning and receive feedback
  • Analyze data and adjust instruction based on student achievement
  • Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress
  • Collaborate with peers to reflect on student achievement and teacher practice data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) teaching license in Special Education
  • Applications are considered on a rolling basis
  • Must obtain and maintain the necessary license(s) for the position
  • Unlicensed candidates can be considered but must be hired by a school district to apply for a One-Year License with Stipulations
