Special Education Teacher

Birch Agency is seeking Special Education Teachers to join our team in the Reading, PA area for the 2026/2027 school year. We are open to full-time candidates and are interested in working with special education teachers who have a passion for making a difference in students' lives by providing differentiated instruction to help them achieve academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct childcare services, including serving as the child’s teacher.
• Assist in implementing the classroom plan according to state and local licensing regulations and Birch Agency’s policy and procedures.
• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning through implementing program planning.
• Maintain professional growth through professional development opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education or the School Principal as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education.
• PA Department of Education Teacher’s Certificate: Special Education.
