About the Role
This is a classroom-based special education teaching position at the middle school level. The role involves supporting students with moderate behavioral needs and Level 4 medical support requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with general education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with special education needs.
- Support students with moderate behavioral and Level 4 medical support requirements.
- Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Fulfill all federal, state, and local requirements for special education teaching.
Requirements
- Active Washington State Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements for the role.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 1+ year of teaching experience.
- Special Education teaching experience.
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement.
- Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education teaching certification.
Pay
Local Options: $50/hour (36 weeks, 37.5 hours/week).
Travel Option: Estimated weekly package of $2,193.
