Special Education Teacher

Location: West Bountiful Elementary. Open until filled for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the role

Special Education Teacher in the ASC (Academic and Social-Communication) unit. Self-contained classroom serving students with intellectual disabilities and similar program needs. 8-hour daily schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services according to each student’s IEP for K–12 classrooms.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate collaborative programs for students with complex educational, social, behavioral, self-help, and/or medical needs.
• Participate in district and departmental meetings and in-service training.
• Collaborate with administrators, regular education teachers, parents, and outside agencies that serve the same students.

Requirements

• Valid Utah Special Education (K–12+) license.
• Severe Disabilities endorsement preferred; Mild/Moderate endorsement considered.
