Special Education Teacher Assistant - STARS (HC)

About the role

Special Education Teacher Assistants play a vital role in supporting the academic, behavioral, and health/hygiene needs of our students as directed by Special Education Teachers. Successful candidates will have a desire to assist students with specialized needs to achieve their goals and reach their highest potential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge (or the ability to obtain knowledge of) best practices for working with children and young adults that have specialized needs
• Skill in applying general written and verbal guidance to specific work situations
• Ability to lift and move up to thirty pounds without assistance or to assist with lifting and moving up to fifty pounds

Pay

$21.25 per hour

Schedule

Typical thirty-five hour work week; work calendar with 12 paid holidays and winter/spring/summer break off each year
