About the role

Special Education Teacher Assistants play a vital role in supporting the academic, behavioral, and health/hygiene needs of students as directed by Special Education Teachers.

Successful candidates will have a desire to assist students with specialized needs to achieve their goals and reach their highest potential, knowledge (or the ability to obtain knowledge of) best practices for working with children and young adults that have specialized needs, skill in applying general written and verbal guidance to specific work situations, and the ability to lift and move up to thirty pounds without assistance or to assist with lifting and moving up to fifty pounds.

Pay

$21.25 per hour.

Schedule

Typical thirty-five hour work week with a work calendar that includes 12 paid holidays and winter, spring, and summer breaks off each year.
