Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and support for students with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities.
• Design lessons that build academic, social, and life skills through evidence-based strategies and positive behavior supports.
• Create and implement lesson plans aligned with The Learning Spectrum’s curriculum and IEP requirements.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop and implement IEP goals.
• Support students in building study habits, learning strategies, and self-regulation skills.
• Evaluate and modify educational and behavioral interventions using data and team input.
• Create a classroom environment that supports academic progress, social growth, and emotional well-being.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Flexible, positive attitude toward students with disabilities
• Competency with a variety of instructional strategies for individualized learning and behavioral interventions
• Knowledge of research-based interventions for students with autism spectrum disorder, including structured teaching, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and relationship-based interventions
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
