Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs using research-based strategies and behavior analytic principles
- Collaborate with behavior specialists, therapists, and families to support academic and behavioral progress
- Absess student performance and adjust instruction to promote mastery and engagement
- Maintain accurate documentation of student data, progress, and compliance with state and school requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
- Eligibility for or possession of Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) certification with endorsement in special education or adaptive curriculum
- Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills
- Valid Virginia driver’s license
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges
- Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Knowledge of evidence-based instruction and behavior analytic principles

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
