About the role

Provides in-class or pull-out services to students with identified needs in all building locations.

Responsibilities

  • Supports students with special education needs in various classroom settings.
  • Collaborates with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Assesses student progress and adjusts instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports on student performance and progress.

Requirements

  • Holds or is able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement for special education.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning and student assessment.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
