About the role

Provides in-class or pull-out services to students with identified needs in all building locations.

Responsibilities

  • Supports students with special education needs in various classroom settings.
  • Collaborates with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Assesses student progress and adjusts instruction accordingly.
  • Participates in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Holds or is able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement for special education.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.

Skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Proficiency in using technology to support special education programs.
