Special Education Pre-School Classroom Aide - Part-time

Anticipated position for the 2026-2027 school year at Harding Elementary School. Part-time, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Willingness to actively assist special education students in the performance of learning activities, personal care, and/or toileting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with appropriate building staff.
• Experience working with students with behavioral/learning needs preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) speaking ability desired.
• Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70).

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students in learning activities, personal care, and/or toileting.
• Collaborate with building staff to support student needs.

Pay

$30.71 per hour.
