Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Willingness to actively assist special education students in the performance of learning activities, personal care, and/or toileting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with appropriate building staff.
- Experience working with students with behavioral/learning needs and/or previous experience working as an aide with behavioral support.
- Knowledge of ABA - Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
- RBT - Registered Behavior Technician certification a plus.
- Bilingual- Spanish speaking ability desired.
- Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70).
Schedule & Locations
- Harding Elementary School: 35 hours per week
- David Brearley Middle School, David Brearley High School: 23.5 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
Reports To
Building Principal/Director of Student Personnel Services
Pay & Benefits
- $30.71 per hour
- Not eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Paid sick and personal leave accruals pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement.
- Enrollment in the New Jersey Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF) or the Public Employees' Retirement System.
