The Role

The Special Education Paraprofessional at this K-9 charter school plays a crucial role in supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. The school emphasizes a deep, rich, and engaging curriculum that spans from the Stone Age to the Information Age.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in the classroom
• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities
• Provide additional instruction and support as needed
• Work under the direction of a certified teacher

Requirements

• Pass the PRAXIS exam, or hold an associate's degree (or equivalent credits towards a bachelor's degree)
• Previous teaching experience may be preferred

• Pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements
