Special Education Paraprofessional - 6.5 hours/day Stillwater Middle School

About the role

Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with special needs. Transferring/lifting of students may be required. Stillwater Area Public Schools encourages Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), women and LGBTQ+ candidates to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support for students with special needs.
• Provide behavioral support for students with special needs.
• Assist with transferring/lifting of students as needed.

Requirements

• Meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified prior to your start date.
• Have ONE of the following: Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, 60+ hours of post‑secondary education, or a passing score on the ParaPro Exam.
• Be prepared to submit documentation (transcripts or ParaPro Exam report) to verify qualifications.

Skills

• Experience working with special needs students is preferred.

Pay

Starting salary: $21.00 per hour (per Para Contract).

Schedule

6.5 hours per day, Monday – Friday (student contact days). Start date: ASAP.
