About the role

Special Education Paraeducator in an Emotional Support Classroom. The position provides academic support and guidance, emotional support, behavior monitoring, and may assist students with their personal care needs. All special education paraeducators work closely with teachers and other professional staff to support students' needs and goals to be successful in school. Transportation duties are required.

Schedule

• Full-time, 7.0 hours per day (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
• 184 days per year

Pay

$18.29 per hour

• After 60 days of satisfactory performance, newly hired support staff will be reimbursed $200.00 to cover the cost of background checks, physical, and TB test.

Requirements

• Experience working with special needs individuals in a school setting or care facility
• Reliable and devoted applicant with a strong desire to work with students with special needs
• Background clearances required for all positions
• AED training, CPR, and First Aid preferred
