Special Education Job Coach (26-27) - Special Education

Primary Purpose

Collaborates with businesses, transition specialists, and teachers to assist students with employability skills by providing on-the-job training and developing employment skills to students working in the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Educational Aide I, Paraprofessional Certificate, High School Diploma or GED
• A valid Texas Driver License and reliable transportation
• Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Ability to work well with students
  • Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with business personnel, teachers, district staff, and students both orally and written
  • Ability to collaborate in the best interest of students
  • Ability to develop employment skills for students with various disabilities
