About the role

The Summit Center is seeking a Special Education Itinerant Teacher for a full-time, part-time, or per diem opportunity. The position offers a rate of $35.70 per session, which are 1/2-hour long.

Responsibilities

- Ensure that Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)/Individualized Education Program (IEP) mandates are fulfilled. - Demonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilities. - Coordinate the development of reports and recommendations. - Establish and monitor individual casebooks, data collection, and charting systems. - Collaborate with related service providers, center-based staff, consultants, and supervisors as necessary. - Conduct educational activities that enhance opportunities to develop skills in areas of need. - Ensure appropriate communication with parents/caregivers, encouraging their participation in instructional sessions. - Ensure all required paperwork is completed.
