Special Education English Teacher (R1)

About the role

Port Angeles High School is seeking a candidate for a high school Special Education Resource 1 Teacher. This is a full-time, 7.5 hours per day position, teaching 6 sections each semester that may include modified English, transitional reading, behavior skills, learning strategies, and/or employment skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
• Evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives
• Follows State mandated due process procedures
• Functions as IEP Case Manager to assigned students
• Works under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Special Education
