Special Education Director

About the role

This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing special education, Gifted and Talented, and 504 Services, Dropout prevention programs, and acts as the homeless liaison for a district of approximately 1025 PreK through Grade 12 students.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of all aspects of special education, Gifted and Talented, and 504 Services, Dropout prevention programs, and homelessness services.
• Supervision of staff to ensure efficient and effective IEP & 504 processes supporting student learning, growth, and development.
• Preparation and management of the special education budget, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Facilitation of federal grant funding related to these programs.

Requirements/Experience

• Special Education Director Certification (030).
• Experience as a Special Education Director or Educational Administrator preferred.
