EDU-AIDS is hiring a Special Education Coordinator to join a supportive school district in Akron, OH for the 2026–2027 school year.

About the role

Full-time position based in Akron, OH (44320) with a Monday–Friday schedule during school hours.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee special education programs and services
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, IEP, and state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
• Facilitate IEP meetings and support student eligibility and placement decisions
• Provide guidance and support to special education staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor program effectiveness

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
• Active Ohio Special Education Teaching License or appropriate administrative credential
• Previous experience in special education and IEP compliance
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
