The District seeks candidates to fill a Special Education Assistant Long-Term Substitute position at North Allegheny Intermediate High School, effective date to be determined through June 1, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services for identified students assigned to select regular and/or special education environments.
• Collaborate with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers, and Regular Education Teachers.
• Provide students with academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical support.

Schedule

• Positions work 7 hours per day during the school year only.

Pay

• Starting hourly rate: $20.70/Hour (2026-2027 School Year) in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

• 48 credits of post-secondary education, Associates Degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment.
• Current clearances required:
  • Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
• Successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment Physical and TB Test.
