About the role
This Long-Term Substitute Special Education Assistant position at Marshall Elementary School supports identified students in regular and/or special education environments. The role involves collaborating with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers, and Regular Education Teachers to provide academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical support.
Responsibilities
- Provide support services for identified students in select educational environments.
- Collaborate with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers, and Regular Education Teachers.
- Assist with academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical needs of students.
Requirements
- 48 credits of post-secondary education, an Associate’s Degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment.
- Current clearances, including:
- Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA Criminal Record Check
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and TB test.
Schedule
This position works 7 hours per day during the school year only, beginning August 13, 2026.
Pay
Starting hourly rate for the 2026-2027 school year is $20.70/hour, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
